20 Greatest Family Guy Hits

After 20 years, Family Guy is celebrating their 20 biggest hits with this DVD compilation of the show's episodes with hit song numbers. Yes, it's as cringey as it sounds, especially if you already own the DVDs otherwise, but hey, if you love the musical numbers than this is the collection for you! The collection boasts a bunch of extras, too, so maybe it's not just double what's already in your DVD collection.

Best Frogs in the Media

It's not hard to picture the world's most famous frog, which has to be Kermit, right? Kermit the Frog is so well-known for his Muppet status and decades of music, merchandise, movies and TV shows. But there are plenty of other famous frogs who also deserve some love. Which ones do you know about?

Lovers of classic children's literature may well remember Toad from Frog and Toad!

Frog Thor is a bit of a comic joke but he still exisited!

How do you win tickets?

One of the best treats for a kid who grew up in the 1980s is to see their favorite bands play in 2019. While many of the greats have since passed away and still others don't sound as awesome as they once did, hearing many of our favorite bands and singers live is pretty much a dream come true. Concerts don't always come cheaply, though, so what's the trick to buying cheap tickets?

Garden Item Sales

Looking out over the backyard and enjoying the view of four deer making their way down the hill, I realized that I have a ton of leaves back there. Naturally I would with as many oaks as we have, but we usually let many of them break down over the season. Still, I could really use a new wide rake in the garden boxes to not only break up the leaves and old soil, but to break up and mix in our chicken manure.

What Do You Meme

Over the weekend, we had a fun game night with friends after not seeing one another for a while during the holidays. One family received a new game for a holiday gift called What Do You Meme. It's a lot like Cards Against Humanity, Apples to Apples and similar judging games where you simply pick the best answer that you think is the funniest or most fitting, but instead of responding to a word or phrase, you're captioning a famous meme.

Tree Kangaroos Face Extinction

If it's not freaky to you how many animal species are disappearing due to human actions and waste, I'm not sure what to say. Yes, we're all a little jaded regarding just how much of an invasive species we are on this planet after hearing about all of the terrible things we do to not only one another but the planet itself, but hopefully we're still shocked enough to want to do something about it.

Hungry All the Time

Snacking is as American as apple pie and bald eagles but it's not exactly the healthiest pastime, is it? While some doctors do recommend several smaller meals throughout the day rather than the traditional three hots to go with your cot, others maintain that it's just not healthy, especially if you're working on lowering your blood sugar. Each person's needs are unique and snacking just isn't for everyone.

Lana Del Rey To Share New Poems

Fans of Lana Del Rey may be interested to know that the singer, songwriter and video producer has also created a new short book of poems. Although the singer has since deleted the Instagram post where she revealed the book to her fans, it does sound like she's created a collection of poems that she's proud to share with the world, or perhaps she will share it soon.

Grocery Getter Deals

When it comes to ordering your groceries for delivery or pick-up online, there are definitely a wide variety of benefits--as well as drawbacks. While you get to shop in your underwear, avoid using gas and the crowds and have things delivered to the comfort of your home (or to your door), you also have to pay for the service, which isn't always cheap. You also risk the chance of the store being out of an item you wanted and subbing in something you don't want, or getting the wrong variety of an item you ordered.

2019 Reading Challenges

Yes, there's the annual Goodreads Challenge, which is simple enough: you simply choose a number of books you hope to read in the New Year and attempt to meet that goal before the clock strikes midnight on December 31, 2019. For some, that's enough, and those of us who do a Goodreads Challenge often increase our quota each year as a personal challenge.

Nuclear Reactors 648 - The U.S. Deparrtment of Energy Has Contracted The Amercian Centrifuge Operating LLC To Produce High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium Reactor Fuel

The U.S. Department of Energy has just announced that it will award a contract to American Centrifuge Operating LLC (ACO), a subsidiary of Centrus Energy Corporation. The contract is for a demonstration of a method for production of high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU). The DoE said that ACO is the only company able to carry out the requirements of the contract.

ConsenSys Acquires Assets Of Planetary Resources

Planetary Resources (PR) was founded in 2012. The original mission of PR was to find and mine near-Earth asteroids for valuable resources. As I mentioned in a recent post, both water and platinum group metals are thought to exist in large quantities on asteroids. Larry Page, Eric Smidt, Ross Perot Jr. and Charles Simonyi all contributed a portion of their billions of dollars to the start up.
